Bose Quiet Comfort Headsets
The Missing Hinge Pin: do not throw it in the bin just yet.

Just recently, I've had enquiries about the Bose QC ™ headsets: the hinge pin has dropped out.
This clever pin hinges the earcup stirrup to the headband. It is a threaded tube with screws at each end. Included are flat and Belleville washers.
When this unscrews and falls out, the earcup and stirrup detach from the headband and enquiries reveal that Bose does not provide the part.

There is a solution to save your QuietComfort.
​
I have found an alternative which can be modified to fit and does the job. With some locking compound applied, the risk of accidentally losing either hinge pin again is minimised.
